Dr Ulrich Doering

MBChB, Dipl Obs&Gyn, FRNZCGP (General Practitioner)

Dr Ulrich Doering, family General Practitioner, has been working in the colourful Titirangi area for more than ten years.  He has specialized in general practice in Aotearoa and is a member of The Fellow of Royal NZ College of GPs.

Dr Doering trained at Auckland Medical School and The University of Berlin.  After completing his internship in NZ and UK he trained for 8 years in Hospitals in Switzerland and Germany which specialised in integrating modern conventional medicine with Anthroposophical Medicine.  He worked side by side with both natural and mainstream medicine in internal medicine, oncology, psychiatry, gynaecology, obstetrics and children with secial needs.

Anthroposophical medicine is practised only by fully qualified medical doctors. One uses the knowledge and science of modern medicine as a basis and deepens this approach further and looks at the whole human being, his health and his illnesses. This enables the doctor to use conventional medicines and/or natural remedies to allow the body to heal itself.

Illness is seen as a possibility to explore one's own life and the meaning and quality that we give to it. Such healing is powerful and long lasting and most of all it develops meaning to our human existence.
